i am so glad you enjoyed your cruise my husband and myself have cruised with island many times and we love the island star not sure who we are going to cruise with now i think your idea of a farewell cruise is excellent lets all email island cruises with this idea who knows we could all be sailing on the star one last time in 2009

hiya lets hope so we have done island every year since 2003 like you dont know who will choose cause like every thing else you got used to staff and some are still with island since we have done them .very very sad to seem them taken star away and escape going over to thompsons lets hope they are keeping same standards as island .you get used to them.

so glad you enjoyed your cruise on the island star my husband and myself have had 4 wonderful cruises on her and will miss going on star terribly we had booked for next july and are gutted it is now not possible we have now booked on ocean village hope we enjoy this ship as much as we have never sailed with company before . have read good and bad reviews but there are always some people who are very hard to please we mmet a few of these on the island star but you cant please everybody would also love to have a farewell cruise around the med .

Like you, we love the Star and at least we get to do a "farewell" trip with it in the Caribbean. We have also booked on Ocean Village for next August, problem is that will be the first and last on that before they disappear to Australia! Hopefully another "casual" cruise line will start up for 2010 otherwise there will not be a lot of choice for us in the future.

Hi. My wife and I booked to go to the carribean on island star in March 2009 before we heard this was to be her last voyage with island cruises. I hope that all the facilities are all still available and that the crew will not have "wind down syndrome". Does any one have any thoughts or knowledge of what happens to her and the crew next ?

I UNDERSTAND THE ISLAND STAR IS GOING TO THE RCL.S SPAINISH BASED PULLMANTUR CRUISES. I HAVE E MAILED JUST TODAY PATRICK RYAN WHO IS/WAS THE BOSS OF ISLAND CRUISES TO ASK FOR A FAREWELL MED CRUISE TO SAY GOODBYE AS LOADS OF US ARE GUTTED. NO IDEA ABOUT THE CREW.. IF WE WIN THE LOTTERY WE WILL BUY IT AND CALL IT THE NORFOLK STAR. WE BAGS DIAMOND DECK CABIN 6060 ..LETS HOPE LOADS MORE PEOPLE READ AND GET IN TOUICH WITH THE BOSS ..
