Always said we never really fancied cruising but browsing through with travel agent for last minute holiday deal to almost anywhere, she came up with a weeks cruise around the Western Med, for the right price we were prepared to pay. Booked on the Saturday Morning Flew out to Palma on the following Tuesday Morning. Didn't know what to expect, but the sun was shining, straightforward embarkcation, shown straight to cabin on Deck 8 8010. First impression, glad we had a window . which showed up that the cabin needed a good overhaul, ie furniture television carpet, all needed to be updated. My big complaint would be the colour of the bedlinen!! Grey Grey Grey and not sure that it was changed during the week we were on board. Having said that, the towels in the bathroom -changed every day. Food was very good, plenty of variety and tried every restaurant. Drinks were reasonably priced. Loved the News letter we had every evening for the next days events etc. The entertaiment was of a very high standard (and we have seen a number of West End & Broadway shows) and throughly enjoyed them as much, if not better. On this occasion we did not bother with excursions felt they were slightly overpriced therefore went ashore by ourselves, which wasn't a problem, although with hindsight might of researched the destinations had we of had time before sailing. Enjoyed it that much, have booked a cruise to the caribbean in November, trying out a different cruise line to compare, but would not hesitate to recommend Island Cruises and loved the informality of it.
